Majka Is Board is Robert McAdam of Scotland. TinyBrightStatic may be Robert's first effort under this moniker but his years of musical experience easily show through. Four lovely instrumental electro-pop tunes have been crafted for your listening pleasure; ambient , progressive, and dance - equal parts fun, retro, and chill. The title track kicks it off with a catchy melody. You'll swear that vocals are going to kick in at any moment but Majka keep it purely instrumental. 16bitDisco is an ode to everything retro where disco beats meet chip-tune style synths. WhenKidsReigned reminds us of simpler times. The drums never quite kick in as textures and layers slowly build and fade. The EP wraps up with a nice little electrp-pop piece that leaves us waiting impatiently to see what Majka Is Board cooks up next.
